Alfa delivered 2,000 of these bad boys to the the Italian government between 1952 and 1954, along with an additional 50 to civilians.
Built to specs issued by Italy’s Ministry of Defense, their goal was to create a reconnaissance vehicle that could keep up with the iconic Willys Jeep but with made-in-Italy charm.
Ultimately, they were unhappy with what Alfa produced and Ministry shifted gears to Fiat, with the 2,000 already made distributed to the Carabinieri, army, and police force.
The one seen here is in off-road-ready condition and up for grab at RM Sotheby's upcoming London auction. Rare, beautiful, and uniquely cool, it's sure to be a giant hit on the block.
A head-turning ride on any stretch of trail or pavement, we're already a bit jealous of the person who snags this thing.
