For 10 years three of the world's most revered names in velocity - Mercedes-Benz, AMG and Cigarette Racing–have been collaborating on a series of ridiculously fast and sleek speedboats showing off the ways in which great minds can meld the best engineering on land and water.
To celebrate the partnership Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette have now created the ultimate wave-wrecker, dubbed the 50' Marauder AMG, inspired by the knockout Mercedes-AMG GT R supercar and designed in homage to AMG's 50th anniversary.
The vessel, which is powered by a pair of Mercury Racing 1550/1350 QC4v engines and M8 stern drives delivering up to 3,100 hp, was just unveiled at the Miami International Boat Show.
The boat's distinctive Green Hell Magno paint details are the same as the color of the Mercedes-AMG GT R, in itself a tribute to the "North Loop" of Germany's famed Nurburgring racetrack where the GT R achieved competition-crushing 7:10.92 lap time.
The "dual calibration" engines enable the driver to switch engine power levels through an electronic key fob, which unlocks up to 1,550 hp in Race mode or Pleasure mode with up to 1,350 hp, echoing the driving mode selection on the AMG GT R.
Anyway you look at it the thing is insanely fast....
