Last year the Williams Martini Formula 1 team stunned the world by beating the likes of Red Bull, McLaren and Lotus to win third place in the Constructor's Championship right behind Ferrari and Mercedes. This year they're looking to not only repeat the feat but bring home even more honors with their wicked FW38 race car.
Of course Martini Racing has amazing heritage on its side, not to mention the coolest livery in history. Williams drivers Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas just kicked off the new season in style in Pessione, Italy, the home of Martini, where the FW38 met some of its amazing predecessors.
On hand was a rare collection of Martini Racing heritage cars owned by Martini & Rossi heir Manfredo Rossi Di Montelera. The collection features the famed Cosworth Brabham from the 1970s, driven by Carlos Alberto Reutemann that won many Grand Prixs and in which Manfredo himself won a Vintage F1 Championship in 2014.
The collection also includes a Techno, Lotus 80 and two other Brabhams all sporting the iconic Martini Racing stripes.
All in all it made for a rather impressive lineup. And all we can say is Lewis Hamilton better watch his tailpipe....
