Feast your eyes on the massive 270-ft. Kilkea explorer yacht, currently under construction at Norwegian commercial builder's Vard's shipyard in Vietnam and available for sale via Edmiston for $62 million. Bannenberg & Rowell Design conceived of the vessel for "travel to the most remote corners of the globe, while providing onboard comfort for weeks on end," according to Robb Report.
A thick steel hull will allow the craft to operate in light ice conditions with enough facilities onboard that it can spend a whole month at sea. Its relatively low fuel consumption will leave a cleaner footprint and provide extended range for venturing into uncharted territory.
The preliminary plans call for luxury accommodations for up to 36 guests, a full helicopter pad and hangar, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and an on-deck soccer pitch. A submarine dock and underwater observation room are optional. And it will be capable of a top speed of 15.4 knots with a cruising speed of 12 knots.
So where do you want to go...?
