Most people don't know this, but before Stanley Kubrick was one of the most sought after and respected film directors in the world, he was jumpstarting his career by taking some (excellent) photographs professionally. Here are few previously unseen snaps taken on a chilly New York day for a now out of business magazine called LOOK, a publication he worked for from 1945-1950. They're a few beautiful moments in time captured by a man with some of the best taste ever. And he was just 17 at the time.
These are terrific.
