Some may be familiar with the late (and very talented) artist Roy Lictenstein, who was celebrated for his pop art and comic book-styled work. In the 1980's, he converted two buildings in Greenwich Village into a live/work space and recently the roof was converted into a sculpture garden in an effort to help further preserve Liechtenstein's legacy at the studio. The end result is unreliably awesome looking and something I hope will inspire many others to take a chance or two with their unused rooftops.
