The classic novel The Rum Diary by Hunter S. Thompson was made into a Johnny Depp starring film a little over a year ago. The source material didn't translate into an outstanding movie, but the 1950's Puerto Rico back-drop made for some inspired costume choices and an all-around sense of style that will make you want to quit your job, move to a tropical island and drink lots and lots of rum. If you don't want to sit down and devot two hours of your life to the film, don't worry -- I've compiled the style cliff notes in the form of my favorite stills.
