Many people are super bummed that Vince Vaughn was casted in their favorite HBO show. But we're here to give a hot take---the casting is INSPIRED. Here's why.

-- Two or three years ago, when he was only doing rom-coms, you would have been pretty bummed if Matthew McConaughey was casted in your favorite HBO show. Now he's one of the most respected actors in the game.

-- The dude is supposedly going to play a greasy businessman who is the villain of the season. If anyone can play a guy you want to punch in the face, it's Vaughn.

-- A lot of people mix up "bad acting" with "bad directing and writing." You have an awesome story and a killer director and cinematographer behind the lens? You can make ANYONE seem like they can act. Case in point: Matthew McConaughey surely didn't blow you away with his performance in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, but that's because the writing and directing were absolute crap. You team him up with some people who know how to make something spectacular, and he's Hollywood's most talented.

-- He had a great role in Into The Wild. Here's a YouTube clip of it... You'll be impressed.

-- Who would have thought the Dad from Malcolm In The Middle would end up being the tour-de-force which was Walter White in Breaking Bad?

-- It's a daring-as-hell choice from HBO and the guys behind True Detective. They knew the people would question the choice, but they went ahead and did it anyways. They see something. You gotta trust them.

Can't wait to see this guy take home an Emmy for best supporting actor next year. Just wait...
